Olive Hall--Traditional Scrapbook Jolene LeMaire---Video Scrapbook/Newsletter
Historians record and preserve the history of each local unit. The record of local activities and accomplishments are compiled as traditional scrapbooks or digital photos. They appear in the local unit’s Facebook page, website, slideshow, or newsletter and are used to publicize the activities of the local unit in the media. Each year, the local historian creates and sends to the district historian pictures or slides for the state memory book slide show. The slide show is viewed each year at the TRTA state convention. In addition, the local historian updates the history of the local unit annually. Information, such as accurate dates, names, and descriptions of events, is part of the history. Historians are encouraged to include as many members and activities as possible.
MJCRSP historians record meetings and programs of the local unit in photos. They collect and preserve awards and newsletters involving the unit. A traditional scrapbook is kept and a digital scrapbook is prepared also.
