​Candye Martin, Community Volunteer Chair

Candye Martin succeeds Beulah Thompson as the new chair of the Community Volunteer Committee in 2022. Members of Mid-Jefferson County Retired School Personnel contribute volunteer hours to their communities throughout the year.  Under the leadership of former Community Volunteer Services Chair Beulah Thompson, and with the help of the CVS committee members, MJCRSP members have an excellent record of volunteering in the community. Each year the CVS committee members encourage volunteerism among members, give them ideas about ways to volunteer, and then make contact to ensure that all members’ volunteer hours are recorded and reported to TRTA. Volunteers have faced down tropical storms, hurricanes, explosions, and a pandemic in their efforts to help others. Below are re-cent statistics reported to the district and state CVS chairs:
